Matt Alexander is founder and Co-Director of the June Jordan School for Equity, a small, innovative public high school in San Francisco. He has over two decades of experience as a teacher and administrator in urban schools and also spent two years as Educator-in-Residence at Linda Darling-Hammond’s School Redesign Network at Stanford University. Matt holds a BA from Yale in history and a MA from Stanford’s Teacher Ed program. In his spare time, Matt enjoys coaching his twin sons’ soccer league and taking close up photographs of flowers.
Jessica Huang is Co-Director of June Jordan school for Equity, Her 10+ years of teaching experience coupled with leadership experience, Jessica is ready to showcase teachers strengths across the USA. She holds a BS from Georgetown University and a MA from Stanford’s Teacher Ed Program. Jessica has two beautiful daughters and enjoys swimming in a bay full of bioluminescence.
Amanda Vigil is a San Francisco Born and raised Artist/Director who brings her talent for moving images and drive towards social change together in the development of this project and the JJSE Pedagogy Project. She is dedicated to supporting teachers for social justice across the nation.
